Privacy notice — pre-launch signup
This notice covers the data we collect through the email signup form on civilquants.com while CivilQuants is in pre-launch. A fuller privacy policy will replace this notice when the full service goes live; this one only describes what happens when you give us your email here.
1. Who we are
This site is operated by Ember Forge Pte Ltd, a private limited company incorporated in Singapore (Unique Entity Number 202617538C), with its registered office at 7 Jurong East Street 32, #13-04 The Mayfair, Singapore.
For the purposes of UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and the Singapore PDPA, Ember Forge Pte Ltd is the data controller for the data described below.
2. What we collect on this page
Only your email address, when you submit it via the "Notify me at launch" form. Nothing else — no name, no IP-based tracking cookies, no analytics scripts.
3. Why we collect it
To send you a single notification when CivilQuants becomes available. That's it. We do not use your email for marketing, profiling, or anything else during the pre-launch window.
Lawful basis (GDPR Art. 6): consent — given by submitting the form. Lawful basis (PDPA): consent under the PDPA notification requirements.
4. Who has access to it
Your email is stored in our email-delivery provider's audience system:
- Resend (resend.com) — processes contact records and (at launch) delivers the notification email. Resend is contractually bound to handle the data only on our instructions.
- Cloudflare — serves this page; the form submission passes through a Cloudflare Worker function on its way to Resend. Cloudflare does not retain the contents of the submission.
No other third parties receive your email. We do not sell, rent, or share it.
5. International transfers
Resend and Cloudflare are US-headquartered. Where data leaves the UK / EU / Singapore, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and the providers' own compliance frameworks. 6. How long we keep it
Until the launch notification has been sent. After launch, we either delete the pre-launch list or migrate the records into the main customer-marketing list under the fuller privacy policy — whichever you'd prefer. The launch notification email itself will offer you that choice with a one-click option.
7. Your rights
You can at any time:
- Ask what data we hold about you
- Ask us to delete it
- Withdraw your consent
Just email dpo@emberforge.sg. If you're in the UK, EU, or EEA, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In Singapore, you can contact the Personal Data Protection Commission.
